Chamber offers to help build your business
Are you looking for a great way to build your business?
Joliet Chamber Business Builders will give you the opportunity to meet weekly with 20 to 30 other business professionals. If you are the type of person that can generate good referrals from your line of work and would be happy to receive quality leads in return to further your business, let us know.
During the meeting time, you will have numerous chances to explain your line of work in order to educate those around the room. In time it will seem as if those 20 to 30 people will be working for you.
Although the main focus is on generating more business, the group can provide a great way to become more comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. Also, you will have a chance to perfect a short sales pitch, pick up on ideas and practices that you may have never thought of, and bounce ideas off of professionals from different walks of life.
Many of the professionals in the group are currently in or have participated in other referral groups. John Weiffenbach, W W Data Systems, has found that referral groups are the best way to market his business.
“Over the years, this networking opportunity has provided many referrals for our financial services. Business Builders is relationship building … you don’t always walk away with immediate referrals. However, every week you educate your fellow business builders of what you have to offer so when an opportunity presents itself, your company is top-of- mind for a referral.”
Said Carlene Amwoza, of the Abri Credit Union, “For me personally, I have developed business relationships and friendships. The information my fellow business builders provide each week about their companies provides me a wealth of information to be used both professionally and personally.”
A couple of our members are in up to three or four groups in different communities because they have found that the system does work, but you need to come out and see for yourself.
One group meets on Tuesday mornings and the other group meets on Friday mornings. Both groups meet at 8:00 a.m. The Tuesday group currently meets at the Standard Bank located at the southeast corner of Essington and Caton Farm roads. The Friday group currently meets at the Timbers of Shorewood.
