Torrey Pines Condominiums, a 24-unit residential community in Lisle that offers buyers an opportunity to own a stair-free home starting at $139,900, has two decorated models open, according to Austin Highlands Inc.
The three-story elevator building is designed for homeowners looking for a spacious, well-appointed home in a quiet, maintenance-free environment.
The community is located on the northeast corner of Abbey Woods Drive and Naper Boulevard, a third of a mile South of Maple Avenue and three miles west of Interstate 355. It is conveniently placed just north of the Surrey Ridge Sports Complex, Surrey Ridge Park and New Albany Park. The three-story building also has fire sprinklers that are monitored 24 hours a day.
“Torrey Pines Condominiums offer mature buyers and business professionals an excellent opportunity to purchase a luxury two-bedroom condominium that offers tremendous value and at the same time be assured they are getting the quality of an Austin Highlands home,” said Edward Paliatka, president of Austin Highlands.
The condominium building, with intercom security system and elevator, is located in a quiet, residential setting.
The 1,000-square-foot 1G model offers two baths, spacious living room/dining room, a nicely-sized kitchen and private walkout balcony. This home also includes a dramatic master bedroom suite with its own private, luxury bath. Torrey Pines also provides each homeowner with a heated, enclosed parking garage with designated car stalls and automatic garage door openers.
All Torrey Pines Condominiums come with standard features such as gas fireplace, colonist six-panel doors and colonial trim, security intercom service, gas forced air heat, central air conditioning, Whirlpool and GE appliances (gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave hood fan, clothes washer and dryer), Moen faucets, and ceramic tile floors in kitchen and baths.
Residents will appreciate the community’s maintenance-free lifestyle, as well as Torrey Pines’ proximity to transportation, shopping and recreational amenities. As a result of the location and attractive pricing, 16 homes have already been sold, which means only eight remain.
Torrey Pines is located in Lisle, which in July 2007 was ranked No. 20 in Money magazine’s list of “100 Best Places to Live” and No. 17 in the same magazine’s 2009 list of the “Best Places for the Rich and Single.” The Village is in the heart of a major transportation network which includes three airports, interstates, rail and bus service. O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport are 30 minutes away and provide global connections. Lisle is at the crossroads of I-355 (north/south tollway) and I-88 (east/west tollway), providing access to the interstate system. Metra Train service transports commuters to Chicago in 35 minutes, while buses travel along major corridors throughout the Village.
Major shopping districts are located throughout Lisle. Ogden Avenue is Lisle’s largest commercial corridor, spanning four miles from I-355 to Naper Boulevard. This district is composed of a variety of specialty retail and convenience stores, restaurants, corporate headquarters and offices.
