Now buyers can take advantage of huge savings at The Atwater at Gaslight Pointe, a 40-unit condominium building perched on the shores of Lake Michigan in Racine.
New England Homes has slashed prices on the last six condos starting from $149,900. Lakefront homes have one or two spacious bedrooms and boast scenic views.
“Our location is our number one selling feature,” said builder Chris Rintz. “Imagine stepping out on your private balcony and taking in breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the colorful boats docked at the marina.”
Owners also can enjoy a two-mile River Walk located right outside their door. It’s a great place to walk a dog, ride a bike or just stroll with friends. The River Walk leads to the pristine North Beach, the Racine Zoo and the Wind Point Lighthouse.
Located just two short blocks from Main Street, Atwater owners can walk to a variety of restaurants, shops and art galleries. They are discovering the historic shopping district and museums.
Many events feature live local music at various locations and folks are finding that there is so much to explore in downtown Racine. From free concerts at Monument Square to the Lakefront Art Show, Downtown Gallery Night, Summer Parades, Fishing Tournaments, the Racine Symphony Pops Concert, and the Yacht Club Hook Race, there’s never a dull moment in the downtown area.
With a one-hour drive from the northern suburbs, many Illinoisans have chosen The Atwater as their vacation getaway or year-round residence, and are discovering a serene waterfront lifestyle and enjoying a myriad of cultural activities in downtown Racine.
“With our substantial price reduction, we expect our last remaining units to be snapped up quickly,” said Rintz.
Several desirable end units showcase an abundance of windows and provide greater privacy. Overlooking the harbor is a two-bedroom, 2½-bath condo with 1,800 square feet that is elegantly finished with hardwood floors and granite countertops and is in move-in ready condition.
Two other finished condos are available for immediate occupancy. One second-floor unit has two bedrooms and two baths, while a first-floor home has one bedroom plus den and one bath. Another one bedroom unit provides great views of the Wind Point Lighthouse as well as sailboats traversing the waterway. The remaining three condos may be customized allowing buyers to add their personal touch by selecting final finishes.
Building amenities include spacious balconies or expansive paver terraces, heated underground parking with large, private storage, and secured lobby entry in a state-of-the-art elevator building. And the entertainment deck on the rooftop of the carriage house may be reserved for special functions.
Elegantly appointed kitchens have Corian solid surface countertops, stainless steel double-basin sinks, Moen faucet with spray, Frigidaire stainless steel appliance package with self-cleaning sealed burner gas range, dishwasher and refrigerator and your choice of maple, birch, oak or white cabinets in a variety of finishes.
Amenity-packed master baths also feature Corian vanity tops with drop-in sinks, maple, birch, oak or white raised-height vanity cabinets, oversized showers with a clear glass door and enclosure, 12-by-12-inch porcelain or ceramic floor and wall tile, Moen chrome faucets and oversized mirrors.
A choice of wood or ceramic tile flooring is available in the foyer and kitchen.
From an architectural perspective, the innovative condominium building reflects Racine’s historic waterfront landmarks with their New England shingle-style architecture. Crowned with an architectural-shingled roof, and covered in cedar shake siding and a stone water table, all natural materials were selected to blend seamlessly into the neighborhood.
