Ground has been broken, the foundation poured and framing is under way for T.J. Cachey Builders’ first model home in Western Trail.

Located in a peaceful country like setting, on the northwest side of Manhattan, Cachey’s semi-custom homes are base priced from $189,900 to $255,900 (including homesite and basement) and provide 1,500 to 2,800 square feet of stair-free living space. T.J. Cachey’s homes will be set on ¼-acre homesites that open to ponds/wetlands and tranquil farmland.

T.J. Cachey’s Winchester sales model will be an 1,800 square-foot, two-story home with a two-car garage and full basement. With a base price of $224,900, the model is scheduled to open before the end of April 2013, and will feature a 50 percent brick exterior. This three-bedroom, 2½-bath home with two-story foyer has the first-floor dedicated to entertaining and daily living, while the second floor is devoted to three private bedrooms and two full baths. As an option, this home can be expanded on the second floor to provide enough space for an additional fourth bedroom.

Spaciousness and the abundance of natural light are impressive. This contemporary floor plan eliminates unnecessary walls between the first-floor rooms; thus the kitchen flows into the dinette, which continues uninhibited into the family room.

“This open floor plan is increasingly popular with our customers,” said Rachel Cachey, sales manager for T.J. Cachey builders. “The Winchester was specifically designed to meet our homebuyer’s requests for homes offering this lifestyle.”

The first floor also has a 10-by-13-foot room immediately adjacent to the home’s entry foyer that can be used as a formal dining room. A third garage bay is an option for this home as well.

On the second floor prospective buyers will find a spacious master bedroom suite that features an abundance of windows, a huge walk-in closet and access to a private bathroom. The other two bedrooms have access to a full bathroom and feature large closets. Setting off the second level is a conveniently placed laundry room between the two bathrooms.

The builder also offers homebuyers the opportunity to extensively customize any available floor plan. Homes can be expanded, additional volume ceilings can be incorporated, and interior and exterior walls can be relocated.

Pre-construction sales for Western Trail are under way from the model homes at T.J. Cachey’s nearby Sky Harbor community in New Lenox. Sky Harbor is on the southeast corner of Laraway and School House roads. The entrance is on the east side School House. The sales center and decorated models are open weekends and Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about Western Trail call (815) 462-0242 or visit www.cacheybuilders.com.
