In preparation for the construction of a new decorated model at the Maples at the Sonatas in Woodstock, Epcon Communities has put its professionally decorated Abbey ranch model up for sale at a reduced price.

Filled with high-end options like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas fireplace and a sun-filled veranda, this 1,718-square-foot home would normally cost $212,990, but prospective homebuyers can save $23,000 by purchasing the sales model for only $189,990.

The Abbey, part of Epcon’s Cathedral Series of attached villa ranch homes, has architecture more reminiscent of a very large luxury ranch home. Arranged in a pinwheel format around a central pivot point, the four ranch villas per building only share one common wall, which allows privacy and the creation of highly sought after end-units. Every home has an abundance of large windows, allowing a natural light to fill the house. The rich European–inspired exteriors of each home include such luxuries as stone, color coordinated fiber cement board lap siding and a steeply pitched roof. Combined with attached two-car garages, private garden patios, verandas, and private entrances, these ranch homes feature a curb appeal that homebuyers cannot find anywhere else.

The immediately-available decorated Abbey model has two bedrooms, two baths and two-car garage. It also includes a master bedroom suite with cathedral ceiling and a large living room with direct access through French doors to a spacious, sun filled veranda. The master bedroom features a walk-in closet and master bath with double sinks and oversized shower with built-in seat.

The great room offers a fireplace, and adjacent to this room is the dining room and kitchen, both covered by a cathedral ceiling. The gourmet kitchen includes maple cabinets, ceramic floor tile, granite countertops, garbage disposal, microwave oven, and a full complement of stainless steel appliances.

All villas and single-family courtyard homes at Maples at the Sonatas feature central air conditioning, an energy-efficiency package including low-E windows, a 92 percent efficient furnace, premium insulation, and true ranch living with all living spaces conveniently located on one floor.

Maples at the Sonatas homebuyers have use of the community’s clubhouse and swimming pool. The clubhouse offers a furnished social room with fireplace, equipped kitchen, fitness center, flat-screen television, a pool table and restroom facilities.

The homeowners’ association takes care shoveling snow off sidewalks, plowing snow from the driveways, or spreading salt in winter, as well as grass cutting, landscaping, mulching, and exterior building maintenance.

Maples at the Sonatas’ onsite sales center and decorated models at 645 Handel Lane are open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. To visit, take Route 47 to Ware Road, head east ½ mile, turn left onto Vivaldi, and then turn left on Schumann Road.
