A contemporary-style, furnished and decorated new duplex penthouse model is open for viewing at Wicker West 1555, a 9-unit mixed-use condominium development at 1555 N. Talman Ave. in Chicago’s West Town.

Unit 3F is a three-bedroom, three-bath condominium with 1,621 square feet of living area. The penthouse unit features a living room with a corner fireplace, a master bedroom suite with whirlpool tub and walk-in shower, and a private rooftop deck with compelling Chicago Loop and northwest city views. The four-story elevator building, on the southeast corner of North Avenue and Talman Avenue, was recently purchased by Mosaic Development, LLC, a real estate investment firm, which is completing construction on the building and marketing the remaining units.

Three two-bedroom and three-bedroom residences with two to three baths and 1,512 to 1,640 square feet are now available for immediate occupancy. Prices at Wicker West 1555 begin at $329,000 for the most affordable two-bedroom unit and range upward to $399,000 for the largest three-bedroom layout.

While supplies last, buyer incentives at Wicker West 1555 include a free deeded indoor parking space valued at $15,000, a free washer-dryer hook-up valued at $1,000 and a free Maytag washer and dryer valued at $1,800, Benson said.

The new penthouse model includes an entry gallery that opens to a spacious 20-by-12-foot living/dining room with a gas fireplace showcasing a granite mantle and slate-tile surround.

The adjoining island kitchen is open to the living room, and features sleek custom granite countertops with translucent glass backsplashes. The main living areas feature 5-inch-wide platinum-stained oak-plank flooring.

A 10-by-10½-foot bedroom with adjoining shower bath is furnished as a den or home office. A guest closet and laundry center complete the main level of the condominium.

Baths showcase porcelain floor tile and marble and porcelain tile in the tub and shower areas. Each condo has individually controlled heating and central air-conditioning system.

The development contains a total of eight residential units and one ground-floor commercial space.
