The Chicagoland area has just passed through one of the worst winters on record, and probably not the last. Residents of the area have experienced air coming through their doors and windows like never before. Homeowners have also seen ice damming in their gutters and on roofs. This could be attributed to improper installation, or inferior (or aging) products.

Homeowners in the Chicagoland area have also noticed the energy costs rising on their gas and electric bills.

So now it is time to take a look at the parts of your home that are wasting energy and not keeping you as comfortable as you would like.

Evergreen Door & Window, in Evergreen Park, was founded over 50 years ago and is a family owned and operated company. Bob Grilec started with this company 30 years ago as an installer, and later purchased the business. His two children, Carrie and Chad, have since become second generation to join the family business.

Today, the business boasts a large showroom that includes six different brands of windows, and many varieties of doors, storm doors, patio doors and garage doors. The business also offers siding, glass blocks, commercial doors, awnings, and security storm doors.

Bob Grilec’s mission was and is to be the exterior remodeling contractor of choice in the Chicagoland area. Bob attributes the growth and longevity to “holding ourselves to the highest standards of product quality and service.”

To reach this goal, Evergreen Door & Window had to offer an exceptional level of products and services that can only be provided by a company that wants to be the best at what they do.

To be the best, we at Evergreen Door & Window supply the best products available on the market. What do we mean by the best products on the market? Anderson, Marvin, Pella to name a few. Sunrise, Great Lakes, Simonton also are names that are the cream of the crop in the vinyl window and patio door business. All of our products meet or exceed the government Energy Star requirements.

What is expected from our suppliers that makes the difference? Service. We will not align ourselves with a company that is not willing to back their products to the extent that we require. But this is only half of the story. Our team takes great pride in what we do. Some of our technicians have been with us for over 20 years. We take great pride in our installations and our customers reap the benefits. Most of our repeat customers request our technicians by name and are happy they are still with us years later. It gives them great comfort and confidence knowing who is coming to perform the work on their home.

Because we are a local company, we can provide the community with a strong combination of quality, hand-picked products, and quick, responsive service. Our customers enjoy shopping locally and working with a neighborhood company that understands their needs. It works out to be a great partnership. More than 50 percent of the business now comes from referrals by satisfied customers.
