Looking for a special place to for a celebratory dinner al fresco? Here’s a rundown of area restaurants with outdoor seating.

Note that while these restaurants cater to parties and groups, the outdoor seating may not accommodate the maximum party size as the indoor seating can.

Arlington Heights: Harry’s of Arlington Heights has announced live music on the patio each Thursday for the spring and summer season. Groups of up to 15 can order from the full menu or create a limited menu for your guests. Appetizers and platters can be added if requested. Larger groups can also be accommodated.

Barrington: If beers and burgers are more your style, The Lucky Monk brewpub has your group covered. The patio of this South Barrington standby offers lots of wonderful spots and views for afternoon, evening and nighttime occasions. It can seat up to 100 people, or it can be divided into a semi-private space.

Buffalo Grove: The Arboretum Club Cafe is open during the country club’s golf season. The restaurant features a contemporary American menu and seating on the bright and sunny patio.

Wilmette: Depot Nuevo boasts the “best outdoor dining on the North Shore.” Giving credence to that claim is the huge wraparound porch around the historic train depot that houses the restaurant. Latin America-inspired dishes and an impressive tequila menu will make for a lively celebration in warmer months.
