New outpatient care center slated to open in Oak Lawn this summer

Little Company of Mary broke ground on a new Outpatient Care Center this past September. The center is located at 6700 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn and is anticipated to open in summer 2012.

The 51,000-square-foot, three-story facility will include the southwest area’s first nationally certified immediate care center, physician offices, lab and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging suite complete with MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiology and mammography. The building also features a two-level open lobby.

“For more than 80 years, Little Company of Mary has had the privilege of providing health care to Chicago’s southwest community,” said Dennis Reilly, president and CEO of Little Company of Mary Hospital.

“We originally expanded our outpatient services to Oak Lawn in 1984 and we look forward to increasing these efforts with a dedicated Outpatient Care Center. The center will be the new home to our nationally certified immediate care center, The Care Station, as well as state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technology and experienced physicians that our patients have grown to trust.”

Reilly referenced the national accreditation the current center recently received by the Urgent Care Association of America. It certified that the clinic provides patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention with licensed providers for a large scope of medical conditions. Additionally, it met all of the established criteria set forth by the Association’s requirements.

The Care Station offers walk-in immediate care, physician visits, and lab, X-ray and EKG services. It also offers occupational medicine services.

The Care Station is currently located at 5660 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn, two blocks west of Central Avenue. Hours of Operation are: Monday through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Fridays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays/Sundays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
