The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) at Silver Cross continues to expand outpatient rehabilitation services with a state-of-the-art facility opening Oct. 1 in the Silver Cross Health Center at 143rd and Bell Rd. in Homer Glen.

This is RIC at Silver Cross’ fourth outpatient location since partnering in 2010 to provide world-class rehabilitation care for a wide range of conditions for patients close to home. RIC has been ranked the No. 1 rehabilitation hospital in America by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991. The same specialized care that has earned RIC its pre-eminent reputation in advancing human ability is now available in Homer Glen, New Lenox, West Joliet and at the main Silver Cross Hospital campus at Interstate 355 and Route 6.

RIC at Silver Cross is dedicated to personalized, patient-centered care.

“When you come in, we’ll ask you a very important question: What do you want to accomplish?” said Matt Boebel, administrative director of RIC at Silver Cross. “And we’ll keep that goal in front of us all along the way. Our team of therapists looks beyond your symptoms. We’ll listen to you carefully, review your records, and seek out the root causes of your problem. Then we’ll work with you to plan an individualized treatment program to achieve your goals.”

The adult outpatient rehabilitation program focuses on helping patients meet their challenges and achieve their highest ability. At the new Homer Glen location, a wide range of problems are addressed, from a simple ankle sprain to back pain, from sports and work-related injuries to arthritis. RIC at Silver Cross professionals offer evaluation, therapeutic services and patient education.
