Samantha Linck named GLVC Field Athlete of the Week

Romeoville, Ill. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Wednesday (Jan. 25) that Lewis University senior Samantha Linck (Kohler, Wis./Kohler) has been selected as the GLVC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending January 22nd.

Linck won the high jump title at Lewis' Dick Pond Invitational on Friday (Jan. 20) with a NCAA Provisional leap of 1.71 meters. That marked the second-straight week that Linck earned that distinction, as the captured the high jump title at Lewis' Dick Pond Open on January 13th with a mark of 1.70 meters.
"Sami's confidence is back and I believe she's going to continue to improve right through nationals," Lewis head women's track and field coach Dana Schwarting said.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Jan. 27) as the Flyers travel to Bloomington, Indiana to participate in the Indiana Relays.
