Kryger's freestyle boosts Lewis women's swimming to Senior Night victory

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Senior Ashley Kryger (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) made her Senior Night one to remember by winning the 200 freestyle in 2:01.36 during Lewis women's swimming 103-86 victory over Lincoln on Friday evening at the Lewis Pool.

"Ashley had a great 200 freestyle which is a nice thing to see on Senior Night," Lewis head coach Roger Karns said. "It was a great race for her."

Freshman Cindy Jezuit (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) pulled in a 25.68 victory in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore Caitlyn Scheirer (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) won the 200 butterfly in 2:17.41. Junior Angela Cusack (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) finished the 100 freestyle in 55.55 to earn the victory. Freshman Katie Hallenbeck (Plano, Ill./Plano) took home a 2:15.30 win in the 200 backstroke.

"I thought we saw some nice aggressive races," Karns said.

Lewis has a quick turnaround as the Flyers head to Indianapolis on Saturday for 1 p.m. ET meet with the Greyhounds.
