Drogemuller, fresh off a victory in the 1000 over Lincoln on Friday evening, came back Saturday to win the 1000 against Indianapolis with an NCAA B time of 9:27.06. Drogemuller's performance was 44 seconds better than the second place finisher. Drogeumller would take second in the 500 freestyle thanks to an NCAA B time of 4:40.37. He missed first by less than a second.
"Brandon was outstanding today," head coach Roger Karns said. "Yesterday was his fastest time in the 1000 and today he beat it by 20 seconds. He was flying. It was a strong inspired swim."
Sophomore Derick Carlson (Norridge, Ill./St. Patrick) won the 200 freestyle in 1:44.82. Carlson also won the 200 freestyle against Lincoln on Friday.
Senior Chris Bonavolanto (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg/Lincoln) was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.14).
