Bolling was a 2011 NCBWA All-Midwest Region Second Team selection last season. Bolling stole a Great Lakes Valley Conference-best 31 bases last season. His .427 on-base percentage and 37 runs scored led the team.

This is Bolling's second preseason honor of 2012. He was earlier named an American Baseball Coaches Association Midwest Region Preseason All-American.

"It's a tremendous honor for Mike and for the program to have him recognized by the NCBWA," Lewis head coach Tim McDonough said. "Mike had an outstanding junior year and made an immediate impact on our team. He creates problems for our opponents with the bat, with the glove and on the bases due to his speed and ability track balls in the outfield. We are certainly counting on him this year to be a leader on and off the field and to be a table setter in the lineup."

Lewis opens the 2012 season on March 4 against Findlay in Florida.
