Men's swimming records three B cuts at the GLIAC Championships

JENISON, Mich. - For a second consecutive day on Thursday the duo of junior Brandon Drogemuller (Hollister, Calif./San Benito) and sophomore Derick Carlson (Norridge, Ill./St. Patrick) highlighted Lewis men's swimming's performance at the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

On Wednesday Drogemuller took third and Carlson fourth in the 1000 freestyle. However on Thursday Carlson was the one to edge Drogemuller, as Carlson took sixth (4.31.11) and Drogemuller took seventh (4:39.01) in the 500 freestyle. Both were good for NCAA B times. Freshman Edwin Welsh (Madison, Miss./Galena) finished 13th and earned an NCAA B cut of his own with a 4:41.83 performance.
The Lewis men are in fifth place with 140 points following day two of the GLIAC Championships.
