Men's track and field places fifth at Chicagoland championships

Naperville, Ill. - Lewis University freshman Kevin Dorenkamper (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) claimed a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (8.44) to lead the Flyers to a fifth-place finish at the Chicagoland Championships, hosted by North Central College, at the Al B. Carius Track on Saturday (Feb. 11) afternoon.

North Central won the 19-team event with 195 points, followed by Carthage (69), UIC (57), Chicago State (53) and Lewis (47).

Lewis returns to action on Friday (Feb. 17), as the Flyers will participate in both the GVSU Tune-Up, hosted by Grand Valley State, and the Cardinal Classic, hosted by North Central.
