Men's track and field places third at Cardinal Classic

Naperville, Ill. - Lewis University junior Scott Tanis turned in a second-place, NCAA provisional time of 4:13.51 in the 1-mile run to help the Flyers to a third-place finish at the Cardinal Classic, hosted by North Central College, at the Al B. Carius Track on Friday (Feb. 17) night.

Flyer sophomore Brock Massie (Chicago, Ill./Kenwood) won the triple jump with a leap of 44'1 1/2".
North Central won the overall title with 185 points, followed by UW-Platteville (160) and Lewis (75).
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Feb. 24), as they head to Somers, Wis., to participate in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
