Greencastle, Ind. - Lewis University freshman Matt Jemilo (Tinley Park, Ill./Tinley Park) earned his second NCAA provisional mark in as many weeks, as the Tinley Park, Ill., native earned a runner-up finish of 1:54.00 in the 800-meter run at the DePauw Men's Track and Field Classic on Saturday (Feb. 18) afternoon.

Jemilo finished behind Wabash's Jake Waterman (1:51.94), who was the 2011 national runner-up in the Division III indoor 800-meter run.

"Matt has performed remarkably for a freshman," Lewis assistant track and field coach Rick Hammer said. "We came in to this meet looking for a national mark and that's something we did not expect back in December."

Lewis returns to action next Friday (Feb. 24), as the Flyers head to Somers, Wis., to participate in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by UW-Parkside.
