The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 outdoor season.

Tanis owns the best 1,500-meter run time in the Midwest region, as he turned in a mark of 3:48.76 at the Beach Invitational on April 21st. Hodur set a NCAA Provisional mark of 6,410 points in the decathlon at the WashU Invitational (March 31) that was the third-best mark in the Midwest region.

"Scott and Phil had tremendous seasons," Lewis head men's track and field coach Dana Schwarting said. "To finish ranked in the top five of our region is a huge accomplishment."

Tanis returns to action next week, as he will race in the 1,500-meter run at the NCAA DIvision II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo, from May 24-26th at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
