Romeoville, Ill. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday (May 15) that Lewis University's Kamille Ferguson (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley), Samantha Linck (Kohler, Wis./Kohler) and Megan Marchildon (Ypsilanti, Mich./Lincoln Consolidated) have all been selected to the USTFCCCA Division II All-Region Outdoor Track and Field Team.

The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 outdoor season.

Ferguson made the most of her final opportunity in the 200-meter dash, as she crossed the finish line in 24.25 at the GVSU Second To Last Chance Meet last Friday (May 11). That time is good for third in the Midwest Region.

Linck is tied for first in the Midwest region for the high jump, as she automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships with a leap of 1.75 meters at the Hillsdale Invitational on April 14th.

Marchildon made the All-Region team with her first outdoor meet of the season, as she placed second in the heptathlon (4,695 points) at the WashU Invitational on March 31st. That NCAA Provisional mark was good for fifth in the Midwest Region.

"The Midwest region is one of the deepest in the country," Lewis head women's track and field coach Dana Schwarting said. "You've had an excellent season if you were able to reach All-Region status. There are lots of student-athletes who are going to nationals that weren't able to make the All-Region team.

Linck returns to action next week, as she will participate in the high jump at the NCAA DIvision II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo, from May 24-26th at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
