It's not every day you see a band with a Top 20 single playing on a pop-up stage at a street festival in Chicago.
That was the case Sunday night (Aug. 12) as Karmin, the duo most famous for their single "Brokenhearted," took the stage at Northalsted Market Days.
They performed original songs and even gave the crowd of more than 1,000 a taste of some of their more popular cover songs that helped elevate them to stardom.
A previous engagement in Chicago allowed for the perfect timing for Karmin to sneak in an extra show before heading out of town.
Their favorite part of coming to Chicago?
"I kind of like the architecture," said Nick Noonan, who with his fiancee Amy Heidemann, forms Karmin. "It reminds me of the Batman movies every time we come in."
