Chicago-area shoe-lovers: make room in your closets. Tria Boutique — a new specialty shop that offers a carefully curated mix of designer and contemporary shoes, handbags and fine jewelry — has opened its doors.

Tria is co-owned by Jody Strauss-Figura and Tony Patel. David Sugg is the buyer/manager. The trio brings a combined total of more than 50 years of experience in the footwear business to this new venture. The pair had long heard from clients that they wanted a shoe retailer that offered exclusive designs and a high-level of personal service without the sales pressure. The time was ideal to open Tria to cater to those customers and appeal to an even broader clientele.

“Our knowledge and foundation in the industry enables us to offer an experience that exceeds expectations,” Patel said. “We do that in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that is a breath of fresh air.”

“Tria appeals to all fashion sensibilities,” Strauss-Figura said. “We offer fashion and comfort in a variety of heights and styles from both established and emerging designers. Our priority is meeting our customers’ individual needs. We’ll do this with regular buying trips to ensure we always have the latest, most fabulous footwear and accessories anywhere.”

The boutique features a 2,500-square-foot showroom that enables Tria to display more than 50 international designers, including established, sought-after names such as Casadei, Pedro Garcia and Monique Lhuillier, plus new favorites such as Rupert Sanderson and Santoni. Expect jewelry and handbags from Andrea Fohrman, Lauren Harper, Henry Beguelin, Jason Wu and many more.
