Cardinal Fitness converts locations to Charter Fitness

Cardinal Fitness has operated in Chicago since 2001, eventually claiming dozens of workout facilities in and around the Windy City.

Last September, however, Charter Fitness rolled out as a national brand and began the process of converting 38 Cardinal Fitness facilities in Chicagoland, northwest Indiana, and central Illinois into the newer, more expansive Charter Fitness model.

Today, Charter Fitness boasts 30 spots across the Chicago area and more than a handful in the Southland, including a brand new facility in Tinley Park on Oak Park Avenue, as well as locations in Oak Lawn, Bridgeview, Palos Heights, Homer Glen, New Lenox, Mokena, Orland Park, and Olympia Fields.

Despite growing attention to healthy lifestyles, exercise, and proactive wellness, health club membership across the country continues hovering near 15 percent. Charter Fitness director of sales Dan Collins said his company looks to boost that number by creating a health club experience unparalleled in its blend of fitness opportunities, comfort, and value.

“At Charter, we’re trying to give as many amenities as possible at the most economical rate,” he said.

Charter Fitness has a total of 46 locations spread across six states. All facilities offer a no long-term contract gym membership, state-of-the-art equipment, and personal training opportunities. Learn more at charterfitness.com.
